Get Toned!

We continually think about getting toned, body-wise, but have you thought about doing the same for your face? Toners get rid of any traces of dirt or any impurities stuck in your pores after washing your face. Incorporating toner to your skincare routine can have positive outcomes in appearance and the tightness of your pores. Toners aren’t essential but if you desire to have a little extra cleanse, go for it! Here are some of the best toners, including some of my personal favorites.

Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner

Beginning with my current favorite, the Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner is one of the best selling products from the company. This Korean toner claims to balance your skin’s pH level and help you achieve your best skin. It creates the perfect base for your skincare products as it enhances the effectiveness of creams and serums placed above it. Within a week, I noticed my skin was starting to overcome the dullness quarantine gave me, and my acne was calming down significantly. This is a hydrating toner meaning it’s ideal for those with dry/combination skin. A little goes a long way with this toner. It’s definitely worth the $22.

Lush Tea Tree Water Toner

Back in high school, my skin was a hot mess; this toner helped my skin oh so much. Made with tea tree, grapefruit, and juniper berry water, this toner claims to bring your skin back to life! Juniperberry reduces imperfections, grapefruit water serves as an astringent that brightens the skin, and tea tree is known to help cleanse and clarify the skin. Unlike the one above, this toner might be more useful for those with oily skin since it tends to leave the skin a bit dry after. Just a few spritzes twice a day do the job, making the $10 toner worth the price.

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution

Gaining their popularity at the beginning of quarantine with their blood-looking face peel, The Ordinary was founded in 2013, aiming to provide quality products at an affordable price. Their glycolic acid toner offers some light exfoliation to improve the skin’s radiance and texture. As mentioned by many online, this toner is quite strong, so it might work best for those who don’t have sensitive skin. Diluting it a bit with water might help but using it at night time would be best to prevent skin burns. If you’re looking for a glow, give this $7 toner a go!

OLEHENRIKSEN Glow2OH Dark Spot Toner

The final toner mentioned is considered a “holy grail” by many in the comments. This dark spot toner is of high potency, aiming to minimize the look of dark spots and acne scars. It’s best to use this product at night since it increases your skin’s sensitivity. Follow up with sunscreen the following morning! After cleansing your skin, dispense a few drops on a cotton pad and swipe all over your face. I’ve had various friends recommend this product; give it a try if dark spots are a concern of yours! For only $16, this product is a must. Need a better incentive to buy it? This product is verified as a clean Sephora product!

With the products mentioned above, go ahead and get toned! Have any favorite toners to include? Comment them below!

Take care everyone!

With love,

Michelle
