Multitasking Makeup Products

As we approach the end of the semester, I find myself having less time when it comes to doing my makeup. These days I am all for low-effort beauty and cutting on the clutter that’s in my vanity. Multitasking makeup products are quick, easy, and overall convenient to use. Products with multiple functions are effective in reducing waste that can be present in our beauty routines. For those of you who like to travel, these multitasking products make the perfect on-the-go essential!

Wander Beauty Double Date Lip and Cheek

My cousin introduced me to this brand as she is a long-time fan of their blushes. So I decided to try out a blush product that came in a gel/cream formulation. These types of formulations are my favorite because they give off a dewy and natural-looking flush! This product comes in a lip and cheek tiered duo which consists of two lightweight textured gels. There are a total of four shades including a nude peach, peony pink, rosy nude, and watermelon pink. Apart from these colors, each set also comes with a clear balm. The tinted balm can be used to add a sheer pop of color to the lips and cheeks. The clear balm can be used under the tinted balm for extra moisturization or used to add a natural glow to the cheekbones. Both are infused with sunflower seed oil and safflower seed oil, which aid in soothing and retaining skin moisture. I also particularly love that this product includes a built-in mirror, facilitating application on the go! Overall, I find that it blends and melts into the skin with very minimal effort. It leaves my skin looking hydrated and dewy without any sticky feeling.

Ambient Lighting Edit Mini-Sculpture Unlocked

The Hourglass Ambient line has been a long-time beauty cult favorite, and rightfully so! I have been a long-time fan of the Ambient lighting powder as it gives my face a nice soft finish without looking powdery. This compact is a four in one product as it includes the Ambient Lighting Powder in Soft Light, Ambient Lighting Bronzer in Golden Bronze Light, Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Flush, and Ambient Metallic Strobe Powder in Champagne Strobe Light. This allows you to do almost a full face of makeup without having to carry multiple compacts! I love how all four of these shades have illuminating effects similar to that of the original Ambient Lighting Powder. This means that they contain very fine micro-pearl particles, which aid in creating a very natural and soft look. At first, I was afraid that using all the shades on one makeup look would cause all the pearl particles to produce a heavy metallic finish on my face. However, I was pleasantly surprised that they all worked very well together and left a flattering finish that looks good under any light!

Alleyoop Pen Pal

I first heard about this product through an advertisement that popped up on my TikTok feed. As I was watching, I immediately became entranced because I couldn’t believe a singular pen could serve as 4 different steps in one’s makeup routine! Seeing this product also ignited some nostalgia within me as I remember owning a multicolor retractable pen when I was young that resembled this product. It was cool to see how this idea was incorporated into the realm of beauty to make a convenient makeup product. The Alleyoop Pen comes with four retractable sections, which include a brow pencil, eyeliner, highlighter, and lip liner. It comes in three different variations with the most notable difference between the three being the shade of the lip liner. It is also easy to tell which product you’re using because the clicker part of the pen is in the color associated with the product. It is the perfect product for quick touch-ups on the go!
