If Aurum was a human, the research committee has to be its backbone. It has not only helped in supporting the club’s system to grow and move but has also played a very important role in protecting the originality of the club. The committee never fails to surprise me. They make sure to be true to their roots of chemistry. If I had to describe the amazing committee; Experimentation is their essence, dedication their soul, and sustainability is their morale.
From making lip balms to body butter they hold on to their nature. They work for hours a week without losing hope and keep trying. Well, try till you succeed sets perfectly in place for the spectacular committee. For a semester they tried various ratios of oils and shea butter to make their product of best possible consistency. From 1:1 to 1:8, everything was tried and contemplated, and at last 1:4 of oil: shea butter worked for body butter and 1:1 for lip balm. It is rightly said, hard work never goes in vain. It has helped the club flourish and even helped in lining up sponsors from the College of Chemistry to Beautylish.
The research committee has always tried to bring students as close to the cosmetic industry as possible and tried giving a real picture, especially of the research and development department. It helps in deepening the foundation of the club as to “how the makeup is formed”.
